Last night a good friend of mine invited me to the art community, FATVillage, in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. They host an event called ArtWalk the last Saturday of every month and it turned out to be such an eclectic assortment of art, food & music.

They also had a fully functional boutique on wheels, called The Trendy Truck, complete with a dressing room!

After walking the streets looking at the different galleries, we ended up @ C & I Studios.  This super cool space included more amazing art, a recording and photography studio, an area for concerts, and a bar, which is actually a coffee house by day and lounge by night.

Excuse the pictures, this was my first time experimenting with my new camera, and they’re not the greatest :)

It only makes sense that I would choose now to work on my first non-introductory post, when there’s a ton of studying to be done, of course.  What can I say, I excel at procrastinating!  Besides working at the office all day and trying to fight a cold, I do have one exciting piece of news to share — I got a camera today!  I’m so excited and can’t wait to start experimenting with it! So apologies in advance if the next few posts are a little blurry or askew, don’t be alarmed – just practicing!

For those that know me well, it’s no secret that Florida is just not my favorite state!  Although I’m definitely grateful for not ever having to shovel snow, the climate here can be brutal in a different way!  Almost always hot & humid! But with the temperature being anywhere from 50’s-70’s here lately, even I’m finding it hard to gripe about ;)

Hello blogging world!

Putting this little project together has been something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time now.  I’m happy to say, I think I’ve finally pushed myself far enough out of my comfort zone to embark on this adventure.  So many things have been changing lately and I’ve been feeling an overwhelming sense of excitement for things to come in life and am just grateful for the blessings God has been raining down on me, especially as of late.  I thought this would be a great way to not only share what I love with others, but to track my personal style growth over time!

Hope you enjoy :)
