It’s beautiful out on campus this morning and I’m just enjoying sitting here reflecting on this past week!  It’s probably been the most productive one I’ve had since the beginning of this year.  I’ll admit that it’s taken me a while to fall back into the swing of things with school but I think I’ve finally turned a corner!  All I can say is that prayer works! Seems like a no-brainer but unfortunately, it’s something that’s taken a back seat to everything else going on lately.  No more! I’ve been relying on it more and more again, and have finally lost the feeling of drowning under schoolwork & to-do lists, and have happily rediscovered some of the peace & joy that accompanies it :)

I’m finally somewhat ahead of the game school-wise and have a more clear cut vision on what my next semesters will look like. Now just to knock out the rest of this semester!  One month left and I will have my first semester back to school under my belt…can’t wait!  I know I still have a lot of work and time to put in ahead of me, and know there will be plenty more moments of tears being overwhelmed, but I’m finally starting to feel like it will all be worth it in the end.  For now I’m enjoying the feeling of accomplishment on this small milestone, and spending more time with my thoughts happily elsewhere ;)

The downpour that greeted me at my front door this morning was the perfect reminder of how much things are really out of our own control.

Short & sweet: heres to no fear and letting go…

I have reason to believe,

that I have victories to taste,

I can feel them on my teeth,

upon my lips and in my chest,

I can roll them on my tongue,

they are more supple than defeat,

I feel the tension in my lungs,

and every move is filled by my resolve to breathe

Spring break is unfortunately over and although it didn’t feel like much of a break since I still had to work, it was at least nice to have some time away from classes!  Come to think of it, this weekend didn’t really feel like a break for some reason though either.  I did finally get some time to work on (and help – woohoo!) with the blog this weekend, happily breaking the mini-hiatus.  All in all I’m still getting the hang of this blogging thing and the break was worth it, considering the last few months have had their own special highlights ;)

It’s been surprisingly beautiful out lately, making it hard not to wander off in thought about a nice lunch on the water or a little outside retail therapy sesh!  Speaking of retail therapy…I think I went a little overboard on the spring essential ideas but I know what kind of temperatures are awaiting me in the next few months and I’m trying to stock up on anything lightweight that will help me battle the heat… Here’s some ideas in case anyone else is in the same boat!
